Established in accordance with article R222-1 of the Sports Code, the Federal Commission for Sports Agents is responsible for dealing with issues arising in relation to the profession of agent and for monitoring the activities of agents.
As a member of this committee, the SNB, which represents players, takes an active part in discussions on the problems encountered by players in their dealings with sports agents.
Composed of qualified members with diverse skills, bound by an obligation of discretion and confidentiality, chosen by the Executive Committee, this commission this committee has a vast remit.
What are the tasks of the sports agents’ commission?
The wide range of tasks carried out by the CAS testifies the importance of this institution, which plays a significant role in the regulation of a profession in full expansion.

- Exercising disciplinary jurisdiction over sports agents, clubs, and licensees

A meeting was held on 16 April to raise several issues affecting the sports agent profession.
The first topic concerned the deadline for the payment of agent commissions by clubs. The meeting was therefore a reminder of the legal deadline of a maximum of 30 days from completion of the service, which can be extended to 60 days by agreement between the parties. The importance of raising awareness among clubs and other interested parties was also discussed at the meeting.
Another issue addressed was the difficulties linked to the sports agent’s information on the exit letter following changes in regulation introduced by FIBA.
The next meeting has already been scheduled for 27 June 2024. This meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss other issues, particularly those relating to players and relations with agents.
