Com SHN En

The commission for high-level sportsmen and women (SHN) is a new scheme introduced in the spring of 2022, for which the OPCO, AFDAS, is responsible.

In this new article dedicated to funding your training courses, we explain the purpose and operation of this new commission.

What is the purpose of the SHN commission?

Set up by the French Ministry of Sport with the help of the Agence Nationale du Sport (ANS), this commission aims to help top-level athletes on the ministerial lists in precarious situations to train before or after their careers.

The aim is to help them prepare for their career transition.

To this end, it has an allocated fund which it can distribute according to the dossier submitted.

Each application can be granted up to €20,000.

Please note that training must not extend beyond December 31, 2025.

If you wish to apply and are neither employed nor unemployed, the commission may also cover your additional expenses. (Still within the €20,000 limit).

What are the ministerial high-level lists?

These lists bring together all the so-called high-level athletes in France, according to age or category.

You’ll find all the information you need right here:

https://www.sports.gouv.fr/mises-en-listes-ministerielles-1838

Which ministerial lists are concerned by the SHN commission?

4 lists are concerned:

– The junior list

– Elite list

– The senior list

– The retraining list

Am I eligible?

If you are registered on one of these ministerial lists and would like to train, then you are eligible.

Please note, however, that each application is examined on the basis of the coherence of the project and the athlete’s annual financial situation.

You can find the list of athletes here:

https://www.sports.gouv.fr/liste-des-sportifs-francais-de-haut-niveau-60

Which courses are eligible?

– All training courses registered with the RNCP;

– All state and university diplomas;

– Certain non-certifying courses (mental and physical preparation, sports physiotherapy, Sciences Po SHN course, preparation for public competitions, etc.).
