After an enriching tour of professional clubs, the SNB has begun its tour of training centers.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been meeting with a number of U-21 teams to inform them and raise their awareness of various topics essential to preparing them for their future careers as professional basketball players.

Among the topics requested by the training centers, we’re tackling the following:

  • the professional sports environment
  • sports agents
  • integrity (sports betting and doping)
  • social networks.

To date, we have had the opportunity to talk to several training centers, including MSB, Boulazac Basket, JDA Dijon and PB 86.

For the SNB teams, these visits to training centers are essential and necessary.

Players need to have access to all this information from an early age, so we’re keen to continue these awareness-raising meetings to prepare them as well as possible for their future careers.

They fit in perfectly with our drive to train young players, and in particular with the continuity of our early-season event, the Rookie Program.

As a reminder, the Rookie Program brings together every year all players on their first professional contract.

We offer them two days’ training in Paris, explaining their rights and duties and introducing them to the training/retraining department.

We also raise awareness of sporting integrity and put them in touch with all the players involved in French basketball (clubs, coaches, referees, agents).

So training is at the heart of the SNB’s dynamic!

The next appointments have already been made: from January 2024, our teams will be visiting the training centers of Cholet Basket, Etoile Angers Basket and La Roche Vendée Basket.
