After Johan Passave-Ducteil last week, we also wanted to pay tribute to the career of a player who shared spotlights with him, Jérémy Nzeulie.

After 15 seasons scouring the floors of the LNB, Jérémy decided last summer to distance himself from the elite to focus on his future projects and career transition.

In almost 500 games, Jérémy played in virtually every competition and won practically every title he could.

Playing for 7 different clubs throughout his career, he reached the pinnacle of his career with Chalon, but above all with Nanterre, where he won almost all his titles!

Whether ProB, ProA, Eurochallenge, Eurocup, BCL or Euroleague, he played in the best European competitions, where he brought all his energy and scoring ability to bear!

Jérémy has played 10 out of 15 seasons in the French top flight, including 7 seasons with Nanterre, during which time he helped the club win a hatful of titles between 2011 and 2015.

He also represented Cameroon in the qualifiers for the 2023 world championships.

Here’s a brief summary of his career achievements:

At club level:

– ProB champion in 2011

– ProA champion in 2013 and 2017

– French Cup winner in 2014

– Eurochallenge winner in 2015

– ProA Leaders Cup winner in 2019

– Fiba Europe Cup finalist in 2017

Individual awards:

– MVP of ProA finals in 2017

– Best French scorer in 2017-2018

– Winner of the All Star Game dunk contest in 2016

– Top 3 ProA defenders in 2016-2017

What will we remember about Jérémy’s career and the player he was?

We’ll remember that he was a player with a career trajectory that nobody could have seen coming, as evidenced by the ProA finals won by Nanterre in 2013.

He was a revelation in the eyes of the public, electrifying games every time he was on the court! Indeed, he was a major component of the title, the X factor of these finals.

Remarkably intense, Jérémy was a strong offensive talent, as demonstrated by his title of top French scorer with Chalon.

His fans and team-mates will also remember his assertive character, his humanity and the good humor he could bring to a group and on the court.

Jérémy, who became a father during his career, is one of those players who thought about his future career, as he is now looking into entrepreneurship, where he will eventually help the family business.

And who better to say a few words about him than his friend and former team-mate, Johan Passave-Ducteil:

First and foremost, Jérémy has an extremely infectious laugh. Once it starts, it’s impossible to stop!  (Laughs)

On a more serious note, he’s someone very dear to me. I’ve watched him grow into a man, but also into a champion. He’s a golden teammate whose good humor and energy can change your day.

I’m proud to have been able to be his teammate and to count him among my friends today!

We’d personally like to thank Jérémy for all the constructive exchanges we’ve had with him over the years, and especially during our Rookie program, where he agreed to talk about his career in front of the young professionals present.

Now a player with Trappes, he continues to enjoy playing while working on his future projects.

We congratulate you on your wonderful career and wish you every success for the future!
