Over the past few weeks, we’ve been presenting the various schools and diplomas available to our members within the SNB.

The question we are regularly asked when setting up a training project is: “How can I finance my training?”

That’s why we thought it was important to remind players of the existing financing mechanisms for their training projects, and to inform them of the latest developments!

To begin with, we’d like to introduce you to a financing option open to all professional players in France: the Personal Training Account (CPF).

Already well known to many players, this scheme has recently undergone a number of changes.

What is the CPF?

The CPF is an account in which you accumulate rights throughout your working life as a salaried employee in France. It enables you to finance a wide range of training courses in all kinds of fields.

Who is eligible?

All employees and job-seekers in France.

How is it financed?

For all full-time employees, the CPF is credited with 500 euros per year, up to a maximum of 5,000 euros.

This fund is valid for 10 years.

You should therefore remember to use it regularly, as once you have reached 5000 euros, you will not be able to accumulate additional funds.

Please note that certain government schemes or actions run by your local employment office can top up your CPF or finance the remainder of the cost of your chosen training course.

Which training courses?

All RNCP-registered certifications, RNCP-registered skills blocks, RS-registered training courses and Qualiopi!

Also included are VAE training courses, skills assessments, theoretical preparation for the highway code or practical training leading to the B driving license.

How do I use it?

  • Opening your CPF account: it’s easy, just go to the CPF website.
  • Registration: bring your carte vitale with you, as you’ll need your social security number and identity details.
  • Consultation: once you’ve created your space, you’ll have access to the amount you’ve accumulated on your CPF, with details year after year.
  • Use: all you have to do is search for the eligible training course of your choice on the platform and allocate your CPF to it.

What’s new with the CPF?

You’ve probably heard about it: over the last few years, numerous fraudulent attempts have been made against the CPF.

Through phone calls, messages or emails, these scams have multiplied and aim to recover your funds by getting you to sign up for fake training courses.

The government and mon compte formation have therefore decided to set up a “digital identity” via France connect + and La Poste to protect you from these scams.

What is a digital identity?

The aim is to provide maximum security for your connection and your procedures on the various government sites, such as tax, my training account or your license and vehicle registration procedures.

How do you create your digital identity?

  1. Via your phone or the Internet
  • You need to download the LAPOSTE application or visit the La Poste website.
  • You’ll also need to have your ID card or passport with you.

Here are the steps you’ll need to complete:

  • Create an account on Laposte.fr
  • Apply for a digital identity via the application
  • Follow the steps via the “A24” acknowledgement of receipt e-mail you will receive
  • Validate your identity document by taking a photo of it via the link in the e-mail you receive, or by uploading the photo to the website.
  • Wait for your ID to be validated by e-mail
  • Set a secret code via the application or website
  • Your digital ID is now active!

2. Via a post office or your letter carrier

You can also choose to have your identity verified by going directly to your post office, or by validating the verification option with your letter carrier.

The postman will come to your address to check the validity of your identity document, and thus your digital identity.

How does digital identity work?

Nothing could be simpler!

Every time you need to access one of the sites listed above, you’ll receive a notification on your Laposte application asking you to enter the secret code you defined when creating your digital identity.

You can also enter your secret code via your browser.
