This week we take a look back at the career of a player who left her mark on LFB history!

Ingrid Tanqueray is retiring as a professional player after 17 seasons, during which she never stopped proving why she is a grande dame of French basketball.

Born in Caen, France, Ingrid Tanqueray’s career spanned 431 matches, making her the third player in LFB history with the most games played!

She played for 6 different clubs: Mondeville, Villeneuve d’Ascq, Montpellier, Bourges, ASVEL and finally Charleville-Mézières.

Always working with the same desire and self-sacrifice, she won numerous titles.

She also boasts 21 caps for the French national team, with whom she will take part in the 2014 World Championship!

Here’s a look back at her achievements:

  • Eurocoupe in 2016
  • French Champion in 2014 and 2019
  • French Cup in 2015 and 2017
  • Match of Champions in 2015 and 2019
  • French vice-champion in 2022

In an interview with the newspaper Sport à Caen, Ingrid talked about what she will remember about her career:

“What I remember first are the encounters… The first thing that comes to mind is the human adventure.”

With a serene approach to the next stage:

“I imagine a smooth transition. What I’ll miss most will be the group, the girls. I don’t think I’ll miss basketball itself very much”.

The whole SNB team congratulates you on your fine career and everything you’ve managed to achieve during it.

Thank you also for the content of our exchanges, which have made you an obvious point of reference in the various groups you have worked with.

We wish you every success for the future, and hope you’ll be able to take some well-deserved rest this summer.
