The women’s European championships came to an end yesterday, and we’d like to congratulate the players of France’s national team on their fine run!

Despite losing to Belgium on Saturday, they rallied against Hungary on Sunday to win the small final (82-68).

This bronze medal is the French team’s 8th in its last 8 Eurobasket appearances!

Here’s a quick reminder of the Bleues’ record in this competition!

2009 🥇
2011 🥉
2013 🥈
2015 🥈
2017 🥈
2019 🥈
2021 🥈
2023 🥉

Sandrine Gruda was rewarded by being voted in the best 5 of the competition, it’s the 3rd time she gets this award after Eurobasket 2009 and 2019.

We’d also like to congratulate the Belgian team on their title, and in particular Rachid Meziane, Julie Allemand, Julie Vanloo and Kyara Linskens, all of whom play in the LFB for BLMA, ASVEL and Villeneuve d’Ascq.

Congratulations girls, now it’s time for a well-deserved rest before the start of next season but also the upcoming TQO and of course the 2024 Olympics games in Paris!
