The seventh edition of Think Sport, an annual event organized by News Tank since 2017, took place this Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the Maison du Handball.

This 2023 edition was dedicated to women leaders, decision-makers and entrepreneurs in sport.

For the occasion, various roundtables were organized to address different themes such as improving governance in sport, the development prospects for professional competitions, the social and societal responsibility of professional clubs and the renewal of the economic model of leagues and federations.

One of the highlights of this Think Sport au féminin event was the presentation of trophies to four particularly “inspiring” women: a celebrity, an entrepreneur, a sportswoman who has made a successful career change outside sport, and an executive.

For the reconversion trophy, in partnership with FNASS (of which SNB is a member), News Tank invited its readers to choose the winner from the following four nominees:

Blandine Dancette, ex-international handball player, operations manager at Réalités Care (healthcare);

Stéphanie Gicquel, athlete and former lawyer, now also entrepreneur, author and explorer;

Laëtitia Kamba, ex-international basketball player, sales consultant at Maison Vendôme, Louis Vuitton (luxury goods);

Chloé Pelle, international rugby player and cybersecurity analyst at Société Générale (banking).

Congratulations to Stéphanie Gicquel who won this Trophy, and a big well done to Laëtitia Kamba, former basketball player, who was nominated in this category.

Julie CAMPASSENS, Director of the SNB and General Secretary of the FNASS, had the honor of presenting the Trophy, and said a few words on behalf of the FNASS:

We are delighted to be presenting this Trophy for inspiring reconversion today. Retraining is a central and important issue for our unions and the sports we represent within FNASS. Pursuing studies after signing a first pro contract, managing a dual career, financing studies and preparing for the post-career period are all subjects we discuss with our sportswomen on a daily basis. Sportswomen are delighted that such events exist to highlight inspiring career paths. We hope that these events will continue to inspire young players, as well as current players, to show them that great career changes are possible. A big thank you to News Tank for partnering us in this Trophée de la reconversion.

We would also like to congratulate the other three winners:
-Trophy for the inspiring manager: Marie-Sophie Obama, President of LDLC ASVEL Féminin.
-Trophy for inspiring entrepreneur: Claire Allard, President and Co-founder of ALKÉ, a soccer brand committed to supporting the development of women’s sports.
-Trophy for inspirational personality: Nathalie Iannetta, Sports Director of the public Radio France group.

We’d like to thank the News Tank team for inviting us to this very interesting event, and we hope these stories will inspire you!
