Now that the tour of the clubs has been completed, the SNB was recently asked by various LNB* training centers and, for the first time, by a LFB** training center, to discuss with the players various topics selected in advance with the clubs.
On the program, a presentation on the reality of the professional world, social networks, image management, sports agents, the employment center or training and retraining.
In order to reach a wider audience, the LNB also planned an intervention of the SNB at the LNB Camp where the most prominent young players meet for two days of training and matches. An important meeting that allowed the SNB and its ambassadors, Edouard Choquet, Gaëtan Clerc and Charles-Henri Bronchard, to give valuable advice to players who will soon take their first steps in the professional world.
For Edouard Choquet, player at Fos Provence and member of the SNB, these interventions with young players must be developed and perpetuated:
“The SNB has a real role to play in supporting players and obviously young people. To be able to offer awareness on issues as broad as sports betting, agents or reconversion, is to give tools to start building a successful career. In this respect, the SNB’s work is a success and it goes without saying that these actions should be developed over time”.
A beneficial meeting that the young players seem to validate, as stated by Clément Morel, a player playing for Élan Béarnais, interviewed during the LNB 2020 Camp:
“They gave us a lot of information, especially on our rights, on the post-career and professional reconversion. It was very interesting. We learned a lot of things”.
A positive assessment that confirms the need to multiply these privileged exchanges with this future generation of basketball players.
