Scheduled on November 23, the derby between Etoile Angers Basket and Brissac Anjou Basket was finally canceled. Brissac basketball team was forced to forfeit the entire season, leaving players unable to play.
The SNB staff travel to the team in order to meet the players. It was an opportunity for the union representative to discuss the future situation of the players regarding their employment contract and also to answer potential questions and concerns.
“We are facing a real challenge because we have been brutally deprived of our work and our passion. We are in total uncertainty about our future, our career and the future of our loved ones. Fortunately, SNB support has allowed us to better understand the next steps in this process. We are now waiting for the legal machine to start … ” says club captain Moïse Diamé.
For the SNB Quentin Jegou, this intervention was essential:
“Given the complexity of this procedure, we would like to be present to provide players with the necessary information and to plan, together, the upcoming deadlines. It is equally important that they can count on our support. “
The next few weeks will be decisive for the players since the court should decide on the future of the club in the coming days.
